DYLAN R. G-BOWLEY

Dylan G-Bowley began his dance training in his hometown of Marion, NY. In 2004, he was accepted and attended the prestigious Juilliard School in New York City where he spent four years expanding and honing his technique. During his time there, he danced works by various choreographers including: Robert Battle, Martha Graham, Ohad Naharin, Jiri Kylian, Eliot Feld, Doug Varone, and Jose Limon. Upon graduating from Juilliard, Dylan joined the Trey Mcintyre Project, a touring company that allowed him to dance all over the world. After three years of dancing with TMP, Dylan moved to Memphis, TN to join Ballet Memphis. During his time in Memphis, Dylan met and collaborated with film producer, John Kirkscey. The result was a documentary called Bookin' which follows a merging of ballet and Jookin, a form of street dance that was born in Memphis. From Memphis Dylan continued his career with the renowned Wonderbound in Denver, CO. Originating many roles for two exciting seasons, Dylan then headed to Royal Caribbean Cruises as a Performance Manager. While sailing Dylan experienced working alongside professionals from many diverse disciplines and countries.

During his time in the historic Memphis, TN Dylan pursued two other interests that have evolved from his art; Choreography and DJ-ing. From choreography showcasing the talents of 205 dancers, to captivating award winning solos, Dylan creates movement that can resonate with each artist. It has been his pleasure to work with dancers from YAGP, Ballet Memphis, Royal Ballet Academy, and Boston Ballet – striving to provide an escape for the audience through distinctive movement and musicality.

DJ Phonon(aka DJD, Dylan G-Bowley) has developed a unique and robust mixing style that regularly combines multiple genres giving a fresh experience to the audience. In 2011 DJD met DJ UNC in Memphis, TN and together they created The Foster Boys. Through their collaboration The Foster Boys jumped to a new level and spun at a multitude of dance music venues including; Minglewood Hall, Molly Fontaine Lounge, and the Cannery Ballroom in Nashville, TN. Now in San Diego, CA Dylan continually seeks to create a soundscape that evolves with the audience who is experiencing it as DJ Phonon.
